Thỏ May Mắn

The owner of Windchime Farm LLC, Sarah Vu, returned to commission a logo for a passion-project of hers that she plans to pursue in the future: opening a rabbitry named Thỏ May Mắn—which translates to "Lucky Rabbit" in Vietnamese.

We aimed to create an illustrated design that mimicked the brushstroke quality of Vietnamese folk art, specifically its ink art, since Sarah's Vietnamese father-in-law was the one who encouraged her to raise American chinchilla rabbits.

The logo design went through many and varied phases, but we finally decided on a dynamic pose of a rabbit bounding forward, contoured by loose brushstroke linework. In addition to the illustration, I designed lettering with that same brushstroke quality in mind, so that there would be a visual tie between the logo and logomark of the rabbitry.

It took a lot of brainstorming, but in the end we found the perfect marketing illustrations for future endeavor Thỏ May Mắn.
