The Plague Maiden

The plague doctor aesthetic has always intrigued me. The whole getup is intensely unnerving and uncanny—right up my alley.

 

Originally intended for a character design challenge, I didn't expect that I would love this young lady's design as much as I do. Over the months, I've decided to name her the Plague Maiden.

This elusive figure wanders the countryside, never settling in one place. When she visits your town, it is certain that some misfortune is looming. It is unknown if she is cursed to act as an omen, or if she is cursed to be the cause.
